TenPoint Crossbow Technologies is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, so it’s only natural that the crossbow community should be treated to a wave of technology from this industry leader. As a company that has achieved legendary popularity and undeniable success through innovation and technological advancements, one might be tempted to sit back and enjoy the results. But TenPoint isn’t about to rest on its laurels. In addition to introducing the world’s fastest production crossbow with the new TRX 515, which shoots at an astounding 515 fps, the company has revamped its riser platform, saying goodbye to traditional rails, taking cocking aid performance to the next level, and much more. Let’s take a closer look.
Twin Riser Technology
Twin Riser Technology
For 2024, TenPoint has changed the game with an all-new Twin Riser technology for the TRX 515 and TX 440 models. The company has upended conventional thinking by using symmetrical upper and lower plates to replace the solid one-piece riser. The plates are bridged and supported at the points, ensuring strength and rigidity, as well as operational clearance. This new riser design is touted to reduce riser flex by 70%, double the stiffness, and reduce rim torque compared to previous models. The less flex and stiffer shooting platform results in more consistent performance and ultimately improved accuracy, especially at longer ranges. Another benefit of the Twin Riser design is the significant reduction in mass compared to traditional solid risers; 41% lighter for the TRX 515 and 18% lighter for the TX 440.
Trigger Tech Trigger
Trigger Tech Trigger
It’s a well-known fact that a high-end trigger is a must for competitive shooters. So it’s no surprise that TenPoint has equipped their TRX 515 and TX 440 crossbows with their newly developed, handcrafted, 3-pound TriggerTech trigger. TriggerTech is an industry leader in technology and performance, and their triggers operate without sliding friction using a patented free-floating roller between the sear and trigger. This design is especially important on crossbows, as typical bolt launchers place a lot of weight on the trigger. TriggerTech’s patented Zero Creep Technology creates a clean, crisp break for improved accuracy and overall shooting experience. They also feature a Dry Fire Prohibitor (DFP) that prevents the firing of a crossbow that is not properly loaded with an approved bolt.
Zero Track Barrel & Arrow Rest System
Zero Track Barrel & Arrow Rest System
Take a quick look inside the barrel of a TX 515 or TX 440 and you’ll notice some big changes. Gone is the usual full-length rail, replaced with a simple bolt rest. TenPoint’s Zero-Trac barrel completely eliminates the need for a rail to guide the bolt by supporting it in two places: a properly inserted Alpha Nock HPX and a Guide-Lock Arrow Rest. The full-capture Guide-Lock employs three points of contact in the form of two wear-free spring-loaded bearings and a top-mounted retaining brush that keeps the bolt safe in hunting situations. The Zero-Trac barrel combined with the Guide-Lock Arrow Rest reduces weight, eliminates bolt friction, keeps the nock moving straighter, and improves accuracy down range.

AR-style ambidextrous thumb safety
AR-style ambidextrous thumb safety
The easy-to-operate AR-style thumb safety is ergonomically positioned directly above the shooter’s hand for easy access. The safety can be easily engaged or disengaged with the shooter’s thumb, and the safety has two clearly marked positions: “fire” (with red indicator) and “safe.” This position allows the shooter to keep both hands on the crossbow and keep their eyes on the target.
ACU-Lock Scope Bridge

TenPoint has equipped their new rigs with a stronger scope mounting platform that surpasses the competition in terms of stability and strength. The new ACU-Lock scope bridge mounts in two locations, front and rear, and is touted to be 25 times stronger than traditional scope rails. This machined aluminum bridge features a full-length built-in Picatinny-style mounting rail that is much longer than most scope rails, allowing for more scope adjustments and heavier scope options while ensuring extreme durability in the field.
ACU Slide MAXX
ACU Slide MAXX
The gold standard in cocking technology, ACUslide MAXX provides complete control over the cocking and decocking process. Such control enhances safety and truly transforms the crossbow hunting/shooting experience. An internal auto-brake gear system allows the user to let go at any point in the process without worrying about the crank handle spinning. The handle stays in place. The shooter can switch directions and go from cocking to decocking and back again at any time. Another big selling point is that this quiet system can easily handle a 300 pound pull weight and only a few pounds of force is needed to cock or decock the bow.

Center punch HPX carbon bolt
Center punch HPX carbon bolt
TenPoint is committed to improving the overall shooting experience, and they make no compromises. The new CenterPunch HPX bolts ($109.99 per six) are a key component of the system, showcasing technology and tolerances that improve performance. First, these bolts are equipped with the company’s Alpha-Nock HPX, which features a nock retention groove that clicks into the TriggerTech trigger box with an audible click. This improves consistency by eliminating the “fit” issues and string wear associated with traditional “snap-on” style nocks. The bolts weigh 445 grains, are 20 inches long, have a straightness of ±.001 inches, and feature aligned spines on odd-colored feathers.
