New 1.2 million square feet of industrial facility scheduled for completion in 2024
McDonough, Georgia, United States – July 27, 2024 —
PNK Group USA is pleased to announce the construction of a 1.2 million square foot industrial building at PNK Park Southern Gateway in Lambert Farms in McDonough, Ga. The state-of-the-art facility is scheduled to be completed by the end of the year and will feature PNK Group USA’s proprietary construction techniques.
This speculative building boasts a high specification including:
– Height: 45 feet peak, 40 feet clear
– Slab: Reinforced 8″ slab
– Roof: 60 mil, R-25
– Walls: 3-ply concrete with insulation
– Dock Equipment: 100% included (40,000 lb levellers)
– Lighting: 30FC with motion sensor
The building’s durable and highly functional structural frame is made of reinforced concrete columns, allowing the installation of technical and production equipment or overhead crane beams with a lifting capacity of up to 8 tonnes without the need for complex renovations.
Installation of the reinforced concrete elements and concrete slabs is currently underway. On June 22nd, the HVAC equipment was installed using a helicopter, showcasing the innovative methods used in this project.
PNK Group USA has already completed two 1.5 million-square-foot industrial buildings at PNK Park Southern Gateway, with two more planned for construction. The company has successfully experimented with the use of concrete girders and replacing steel columns with reinforced concrete columns in other projects, such as PNK Park Humboldt in Hazelton, Pennsylvania, and PNK Park Great Stream Commons in Allenwood, Pennsylvania. This innovation has resulted in more bolted connections and fewer welded connections. Going forward, the company plans to eliminate welded connections entirely through increased in-house manufacturing and more precise production of elements.
The new Georgia facility will be built using elements produced at PNK Group USA’s plants in Winder, Georgia, and Bethel, Pennsylvania, which are currently being upgraded and equipped with advanced equipment to create completion centers for the rapid construction of industrial buildings.
