West Georgia Institute of Technology has announced that Lucinda Montgomery has been appointed the new dean of the College of Trades and Technology.
Montgomery previously served as associate dean for trades and technology at WGTC.
“Lucinda brings a wide range of experience and a commitment to excellence to our College of Trades and Technology,” said Kristen Bui, vice president for Academic Affairs. “I am excited to work with her and look forward to the positive impact her leadership will have.”
Prior to joining WGTC, Montgomery was an associate professor of logistics and supply chain management at Georgia Highlands College, where she designed, developed, and taught courses for the Bachelor of Business Administration program and played a key role in certifying courses for accessibility to online learners as a Quality Matters peer reviewer.
Montgomery is an Air Force veteran who began his career in logistics and supply chain management in 2000. He earned a Master of Science in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration at Georgia State University.
“I am honored to take on this new role and continue my journey at West Georgia Tech,” Montgomery said. “I look forward to working with the faculty and staff to enhance our programs and provide more opportunities for our students.”
