Joe Brown has joined management and technology consulting firm West Monroe as a senior partner in the Technology and Experience practice.
Based in San Francisco, Brown has more than 20 years of expertise in digital strategy, product, experience and marketing.
In his new role in West Monroe, Brown will focus on product and experience initiatives and help set the strategic direction for the 700-employee Technology and Experience practice.
Throughout his career, Brown has led product innovation through expansion in the software, e-commerce, consumer products and life sciences markets. He has worked with major clients such as Moderna, Meta and Microsoft.
Brown spent 12 years at IDEO, a design and consulting firm, most recently as Executive Director leading hundreds of designers, engineers and technologists. Previously, he taught classes in marketing and organizational behavior at Stanford University and served on the editorial board of The College Board.
He holds an MBA from Stanford University and a BA from New York University.
“Joe is an accomplished team and practice leader who is highly respected for the impact he has had on IDEO’s clients. He has a particular talent for culture, sense of purpose and the change that inevitably occurs when adopting new technology and how to embed that into the work we do,” said Mazen Ghalaini, managing partner and co-leader of West Monroe’s Technology and Experience practice.
Brown added: “Our work gives us the opportunity to look at problems from new angles, understand our customers and what they really need. When we can understand how to design products to deliver what our customers want, such as increased profitability, we make a real impact.”
Headquartered in Chicago, West Monroe provides consulting in operations, M&A, organization and talent, customer engagement, product and experience, and data and technology.
The company has 2,250 employees across 10 offices in the US, UK and Costa Rica.
