CALIFORNIA – Querétaro Mayor Luis Nava presented the Innovation and Creative Technology Center, “Bloc,” to California officials led by California State Senior Deputy Director for Global Strategy, Programs and External Affairs Emily Desai.
The project caught the attention of Californian authorities by showcasing the creation of an innovation ecosystem from scratch in Latin America and the incubation and entrepreneurship programs it promotes.
The above was part of an activity held at the Farnborough Aerospace Fair in London, UK, where Luis Nava explored the possibility of cooperation in innovation issues in order to create synergies between the two governments in the development of technological projects.
“We are working with the state government to promote and attract investments. We have a very intensive work plan to work together and reach important agreements to develop the human resources of Queretaro,” Luis Nava said.
Thus, Queretaro City Secretary of Sustainable Development Alejandro Sterling emphasized the importance of being present in places where development opportunities exist, such as this aerospace fair.
In addition, Luis Nava witnessed the signing of an agreement between the University of Aeronautics and GE Aerospace, as part of the UDC University Development Center project, which aims to develop a shared space for UNAQ students doing internships at GE Aerospace, so that they can work efficiently from school without having to travel to the company.
