The 2024 Copa America is underway, with Argentina looking to defend their title in what may be Lionel Messi’s final appearance in the tournament. The Copa America will be held in the United States, with six spots available to CONCACAF teams, and five countries – the United States, Mexico, Panama, Canada, Jamaica and Costa Rica – will compete in the tournament along with the 10 teams from CONMEBOL.
With the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico on the horizon, it’s a good time for CONCACAF teams to test their mettle in a key tournament, but this Copa America is no stranger to surprises.
