Acquisition strengthens ACA’s technology solutions to support day-to-day compliance requirements and mitigate risk
NEW YORK & LONDON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–ACA Group (ACA), a leading provider of governance, risk and compliance (GRC) solutions to clients in the financial services industry, announced the acquisition of Encore Compliance (Encore), a leader in AI compliance software solutions. The acquisition enhances ACA’s managed services suite with people, processes and technology to add AI-enabled monitoring capabilities to its expert network monitoring and research calls, helping asset managers and investment advisers comply with SEC, FCA and ESMA regulations. Additionally, the technology will enable research teams to create their own libraries of experts and identify potential risks in other voice communications that are subject to increased regulatory scrutiny, enhancing overall compliance management.
In the US, the SEC has increased scrutiny of firms’ use of expert networks and alternative data under Section 204A of the Investment Advisers Act. This increased scrutiny is also being felt in Europe under the Market Abuse Regulation (MAR). Overall, Encore helps compliance teams monitor and protect against material nonpublic information (MNPI) related risks across multiple compliance regimes.
The technology enables compliance and investment teams to achieve highly efficient, insight-driven operations. These teams can leverage the technology directly or through ACA’s managed services team.
