In this webinar, Kreuscher and Tessman discuss why calves are the most vulnerable group on a dairy farm and how calf care strategies can protect these young animals and help them thrive in the future. One of the tools, Merck Animal Health’s M-Power dairy platform, includes calf care solutions to make calf management more efficient and less stressful. A first-of-its-kind solution, SenseHub Dairy Youngstock Monitoring, helps producers raise strong successor cows by keeping teat-fed calves in individual hutches for optimal health. By installing LED ear tags at birth, employees can detect earlier and respond faster to prioritize care for the farm’s most vulnerable group.
Kreuscher oversees dairy development initiatives, bringing extensive experience integrating dairy software and technology on-farm. He has nearly 20 years of experience managing dairy electronic identification and mobile projects for an agricultural software company, as well as coordinating dairy research and managing educational herds at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the University of California, Davis.
Tessman executes all marketing strategies for Merck Animal Health’s monitoring, milking and sorting technology portfolio, including generating demand for dairy monitoring solutions and partnering with sales on a results-driven initiative. Tessman holds a Bachelor’s degree in Life Science Communications from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
