I hold no grudge
Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence can do it all, from franchises to indies to an R-rated comedy about a woman hired to help 19-year-olds become more social before they start college. It should be easy, right? Not! As Maddie (Lawrence) desperately tries to loosen up the stiff Percy (Andrew Barth Feldman), things get wilder and wilder. With an early 2000s vibe despite being a 2023 movie, this is sure to have you rolling on the floor laughing and feeling extremely sick at the same time.

There are ghosts
“The Ghost Comes Home” is a family comedy about the events that occur when a family discovers that a ghost named Ernest (David Harbour) is living in their home. It’s a pretty goofy movie that focuses on the unlikely friendship between Ernest and Kevin (Jahi Di’alo Winston), a teenage boy who decides to help them find out what happened to Ernest. Still not convinced? Supporting actors Tig Notaro and Jennifer Coolidge provide some solid comedy.

Watching the Eurovision Song Contest can often leave you feeling like you’re in a fever. To all the people I loved
I have a weakness for a good romantic comedy, and To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before checks all the boxes: a charming lead character (thanks Lana Condor and Noah Centineo), a cute premise (her son accidentally sends letters to everyone he’s had a crush on), and some actually funny, heartwarming scenes that will have you giggling and groaning in delight. Normally I wouldn’t call a movie with human sacrifice a comedy, but I’m going to make an exception for “The Babysitter.” The movie cleverly pokes fun at high school tropes and archetypes with a child-sacrificing cult. Horror comedy fans, you won’t be disappointed.
